Along
time ago, someone had the idea of having Science-Fiction/Fantasy
Conventions.
All was good, for a time.....
Then
from a far off place (Robert Embler's head) came an idea so
unlike
all other Sci-Fi Cons it just had to be acted on. Because of that idea
from the head in that far off place, we now have the institution of OutsideCon, the worlds
only Sci-Fi con held in the
great outdoors.
This Year our theme will be "Medieval" With a "Queen for a Day" contest (sorry ladies only).
OutsideCon
has returned home to the beautiful Montgomery
Bell State Park at 1020
Jackson Hill Road, Burns, TN. Not only
do you get a great convention you get to camp out, hike, swim, fish and
boat, if you have one, all for the price of the con.
As always,
OutsideCon provides
plenty of Food, Merriment and Mayhem. It does not, nor has ever,
provided
alcoholic beverages. However patrons, fans and family are welcome to
BYOB
and may imbibe on the premises. Just pick up after yourselves. Tennessee
law prohibits the possession and/or consumption of alcohol by persons
under
21 years of age.

another
"Bob goes to Camp" (aka: Camp Runamuck). You do not have to camp out
but
you can if you want to. Group Camp #1 can sleep 120 persons in
individual
bunks with mattresses. These are mostly in four person cabins. And YES,
there is HOT water in the restroom/shower buildings. Cabins
are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tents are welcome and might be needed if you do not pre-reg and request
a cabin early.
What to Bring: Sheets, blankets, pillows and sleeping bags if staying in cabins, as well as flashlights, personal toiletries and lots of good friends who want to have a good time. Games and other things you like |
